Welcome I'm Diana Lara

I am a Texas-based licensed professional counselor & supervisor.  I have dedicated years to education and training to build exceptional skills to help others.  After completing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Our Lady of the Lake University, I earned a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from UTSA.  I have specialty training in CBT, DBT, trauma, anxiety, and life coaching to enhance my professional growth.

I worked for over 18 years in community mental health and leadership with nonprofit organizations before starting my private practice in 2020.  With access to clients across Texas, telehealth has allowed me to continue to grow as a clinician, coach, and supervisor while creating a balanced family life. 

My goal as a therapist is to provide empathy, and understanding and challenge you to open your perspectives. I believe the heart of therapy is the connection between the patient and the therapist. No number of likes, emojis, hashtags, or algorithms, can compare with an authentic human connection. I am invested in helping clients change their hearts and minds to reach their goals.

My commitment is to your healing, inner peace, and creating the change you are ready for. With expertise in women's issues, trauma, anxiety, and couples issues, I provide a range of therapeutic options.

Whether you're interested in individual or couples counseling, I offer both conveniently from the comfort of your own home.
